There’s nothing quite quite New England in the fall. Crisp air, orchards, pumpkins, and, of course, gorgeous fall foliage. It’s also the best season in the region for running. We’ve put together a list of our top 25 fall foliage runs in New England, selecting the best from Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, and Connecticut. These are routes which feature beautiful foliage and views and are great for running. We’ve tried to incorporate a variety of surfaces and types of terrain. The list below is organized by state. For the Connecticut routes, we’d choose East Rock in New Haven, and Mianus River Park Waveney Park in the Stamford/Greenwich area, and anywhere in the Litchfield Hills. And if you fancy a road races, here’s a terrific list of the Best New England Half Marathons from our friends at Halfmarathons.net.
