Volunteer Opportunities That Address Food Insecurity

Meaningful Volunteer Experiences.

Project Boon amplifies the power of community through events that bring together committed individuals, organizations, and the under-resourced.

Our name, boon, means the general good created by meaningful, accessible action. It comes out of a simple idea: that we’re all connected, and we all have the ability to help one another.

Why Project Boon?

Our mission is to help those facing food insecurity make ends meet by distributing groceries and needed items such as backpacks filled with school supplies, Thanksgiving meals, and toys during holiday-based events. We provide hundreds of volunteer opportunities yearly and enable businesses to give back to their communities through group volunteer days and donations.

When we were children, the neighborhood pulled together when a family down the street faced tough times. Our community made an immediate impact, and we valued that human connection. Project Boon aims to continue to foster that connection, all while meeting our goal of helping the under-resourced.

Give Without Reservation

Project Boon is proud to introduce our #GiveWithoutReservation initiative! We invite members of our communities to join us in volunteering, donating, and participating as we move the needle on food insecurity for families in need.

About Project Boon

Project Boon is a regional 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2011 that aims to combat food insecurity and provide volunteer opportunities in our community. The owners of Firm Media Inc and CASKS Restaurant Group founded the organization intending to leverage the local business community to make a positive impact.

Project Boon amplifies the power of community through holiday-based events that bring together committed individuals, organizations, and the under-resourced. Its mission is to help those facing food insecurity make ends meet by distributing groceries and needed items such as school supplies and much-needed social services.

Project Boon provides hundreds of volunteer opportunities yearly, enabling businesses to give back to their communities through group volunteer days, donations, and sponsorship. The organization is proud to have served hundreds of thousands of meals and welcomed tens of thousands of volunteers since its inception. Project Boon is nearly 100% volunteer-based, and 80% of every dollar raised for the nonprofit goes back into the community.
