About the author (2016)

Bob O’Connor has taught at U.C.L.A., Los Angeles Pierce College, California State University at Northridge and other institutions of  high learning. He has taught the basic health education courses as well as classes in teaching methods, drugs and alcohol,  marriage and family, and classes in fitness. He has written more than 40 books in health and related fields. He is also a licensed family counselor in California.

Christine Wells has taught health education, fitness and strength training, anatomy and physiology of exercise and is now educating physicians in cancer care. She has also been a university athletic trainer and has conducted studies on the mental aspects of rehabilitation.

Trent Applegate teaches at the University of Indiana at Bloomington. He has taught the general health education courses and now specializes in safety and violence issues as well as nutrition and obesity. He is also a certified athletic trainer and has worked with university athletes in rehabilitation.
