Laser Treatments in Meredith, NH

Skin rejuvenation includes a number of different treatments, but all are designed to leave a softer, smoother surface. Dermabrasion is similar to sanding a surface, while chemical peels actually peel away skin cells. Lasers provide the same function by removing skin cells, but they also encourage new skin to grow and can help tighten the skin. A laser skin treatment can promote the growth of new collagen, the protein that supports the skin. Collagen tends to diminish with age, which makes skin more likely to sag.

Skin Rejuvenation

Fine Lines & Wrinkles

The quality of your personal and professional interactions are directly related to your self-confidence. While beautiful and healthy skin isn’t as easy to maintain as we age, we can show you how to keep a vibrant, youthful look.

Healthy looking skin can be hard to maintain due to such factors as the aging process, eating habits, sun exposure, and other various lifestyle choices.

Rejuvenation can make the skin look firmer, smoother and more youthful. Multiple treatments or repeated treatments over a period of time may be desirable; results gradually become apparent.

Life Medi Spa can help with our extensive array of procedures to reverse the signs of aging.

Vascular Lesions

From spider veins to hemangioma, vascular lesions are blood vessels that are visible through the skin surface. While most common on the face and legs, they can occur in nearly any place on the body.

While most vascular lesions are harmless, many people wish to remove these unsightly veins to show a more youthful complexion.  Vascular lesions such as port-wine stains, telangiectasia, haemangioma, spider naevus (spider veins), reticular veins, and venous lakes are common in both men and women, regardless of the patient’s age. While some of these conditions do not pose a threat to the patient’s health, they can become bothersome as the patient may feel they affect their personal appearance.

Of the numerous reasons for the appearance of vascular lesions, the most common is a side-effect of aging. Eliminating or reducing the appearance of them is one of the most popular services we offer.

During a vascular lesion treatment, our laser sends a light beam into the skin and targets the hemoglobin of the blood found in the vein or vessel. The blood vessel absorbs the light energy, heats up, and becomes inflamed or swollen. This reaction leads to the occlusion or collapse of the vessel, which successfully cuts off the blood flow without harming the surrounding skin tissue.

Immediately after treatment, patients may experience temporary redness and swelling. Over the weeks following a treatment, your vascular lesion may leave a small bruise or transient pigment changes. Both of these side effects will heal naturally over time and reveal blemish-free skin. Vasculature treatments, including the erythema associated with acne, should produce improvement after a treatment or two.

Laser pigmentation removal is safe and effective and can treat many areas of pigmentation. Postpartum pigmentation removal is commonly treated with lasers, as many women experience postpartum dark patches that do not fade as much as expected. Many patients also treat melasma, manchas, and excessive dark spots with laser pigmentation removal.

Hyperpigmentation

Age and Brown spots

No matter how common they are, there is no reason to live with the dark spots caused by hyperpigmentation.  Over the years of exposure to harmful sun rays, your skin’s pigmentation can become blotchy as excess melanin deposits in areas that see the most UV exposure over time:  your face and hands.

Reducing and eliminating the appearance of age spots is a straightforward procedure that can restore your skin’s youthful appearance.

  • Light energy may stimulate new collagen, reduce the appearance of larger pores, and smooth skin texture
  • Works best for skin tone and texture improvement including:
    • Fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, scarring, pigmentation blending
    • Deep wrinkles, severe textured skin due to sun exposure, and scars ranging from acne so surgical scars
  • Multiple treatments are usually required for the best results

Nail Fungus

Forget about the shame and embarrassment you feel because of your nail fungus. This common and easily treatable condition has plagued people for centuries.

The laser system at Life Medi Spa can make short work of even the most stubborn nail fungus on the feet or hands.

The laser light passes through the toenail without causing damage to the nail or the surrounding skin. The beam created by this specially designed medical device vaporizes the embedded pathogens in your nail plate and nail bed, leaving normal healthy tissue undamaged, while killing the organisms that cause toenail fungus. It is important to treat all toenails whether obviously infected or not.

Oral antifungal medications are toxic and may cause serious medical complications. As a result, clients that are taking these medications are asked to go through routine blood tests to make sure their liver is not damaged during the treatment.

Laser treatment is completely drug-free, meaning it does not impose all the health risks associated with oral antifungal medications. There are no adverse reactions, injuries, or known side effects from the use of lasers to treat a toenail fungus infection.
