I have had a fixed bridge on my upper front teeth for 45 years. My first bridge included the two front teeth and anchor teeth on each side. It lasted 35 years. Ten years ago it was replaced by a dentist in the area who not only filed down two additional teeth on either side, but the actual connections to the existing nubs were a joke. After ten years it failed. It was never that attractive, didn't fit my face and looked fake. the teeth were huge and horsey-looking. All the bridges from that office looked the same, big and fake.
I saw Dr. Olivia and explained timing constraints and needing to work around a pending hip surgery. The team at Kirkland Family Dentistry devised the plan on day one. During the next appointment, a broken tooth extracted, and molds were made shortly thereafter. Wasn't long before I received my new bridge.
I know the difference between a poorly crafted bridge and what I have now. This one corrects and improves upon all the problems I came in with, it is exceptionally well made and it fits perfectly. The entire staff are excellent, from the dentist (Olivia) to the billing department. This team got the job done efficiently and professionally.
Since getting this new bridge, I've had corn on the cob and chomped on apples, which I hadn't eaten for many years. I highly recommend this dental office.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Linda S.Kirkland, WA325Feb 22, 2024
I was looking for a new dentist for my family as I have changed jobs and have different insurance. I brought my daughter in and we both had cleaning appointments at the same time. I was told it would be a 2hr appointment. After our cleaning, a woman came in and reviewed a long list of additional treatments they recommended for my daughter and I. I said that we wouldn't have time for any of that as I only had a 2hr window for this appointment. The doctor said it would only take 15min, I said only do what we have time for. According to my daughter (19yr) they rushed her into a treatment room that didn't appear to have been cleaned up after last patient. They told her that I had told them they needed to "hurry ". They rushed through her treatments and were hurting her as they did so. One of the assistant's working on her had visible blood coming from her nose under her mask. When I saw her she was very upset. Her gums were sore, her jaw was sore. She had a cut on the inside of her cheek. She spent the entire day in pain. I also felt my treatments were rushed. They had added a resin composite to many of my teeth. It was rough and caused a sore on my tongue. I called the receptionist the next day. She was very apologetic and said she would have the office manager reach out to me. I never heard from anyone. Very unhappy with these dentists and will never be coming back.

I would not recommend this dentist as my son has had multiple unsuccessful treatments. Each time he gets a crown, it either breaks, comes off, or causes discomfort. The dental staff at this place is very pushy and tries to sell you a lot of unnecessary services. After several years of going here, I finally decided to seek a second opinion because I was tired of wasting money on ineffective treatments. To my dismay, the second and third dentists confirmed that the work done in my child's mouth will need to be redone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I visited Kirkland Family for normal cleaning. The dentist I had at the time had high pressure sale technique to push additional services. For my case it was for surface composite for a number of teeth. I finally gave in and did it on my third visit. It was done by another specialist. The dentist didn't come back for a final check and they let me go. After a week of so I realized my bite is completely off and feel very uncomfortable.
It took 3 additional visit to polish the surface back to a comfortable bite. Now my teeth are very sensitive to temperate change.
I felt I was pressured into doing something I didn't need and it was done poorly. Even though they agree to fix my bite, the process was also painful as the specialist who fix it gave me the feeling it was my fault that my bit is off.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 3, 2022
I moved to Washington recently so I was looking for a new dentist. I found this one through Opencare, and signed up for an appointment with Dr. Choi.
The good:
They have lots of parking. Their office is located on the second floor, and the first floor garage is available for patients to park.
The front staff was friendly. I had a bunch of forms to fill out because I didn't ahead of time, but they were very nice about it and mentioned small areas I missed, directed me to the bathroom, etc.
The hygienist I had was also amazing. I think the best I've ever had. She cared a lot about my sensitivity, doing things like asking me to hold water and swish instead of spraying cold water directly on my teeth. I super appreciated her.
The bad:
First of all, that amazing hygienist? Not even their actual employee. She used to work there, but now just occasionally comes in when they ask(???), and she actually works elsewhere. (I should've asked where she worked and gone there, honestly.)
The place right inside the front area was chaotic. Multiple times the people working on me, whether it was the X-ray tech or dentist or hygienist, couldn't find something they needed and had to wander into another place to grab it. Get some extra tools, maybe?
The X-rays and imaging legitimately took 45 minutes from the time I sat in the chair to when it was done. The person taking them must've been new, because she had to retake almost every single photo. It was an uncomfortable and painful experience. The quality at the end was also kind of the saddest dental X-rays I've seen.
Finally, the dentist part was weird. I didn't get the dentist I asked for, and instead got Dr Acosta without being told it would happen. She answered my questions nicely, but never once actually bothered looking into my mouth (instead only referring to X-rays and pictures), didn't do cancer screening, and pointed out two problems, said "a few" cavities.
When I got to the front desk to check out, the very friendly front desk explained costs, next steps, etc., and gave me a sheet of costs of procedures.
I had been prescribed six dental procedures! Which is way more than I was led to believe. The front desk person (again, super nice) asked if I wanted to talk to the doctor again and I said yes but honestly I was so taken aback that I couldn't ask reasonable questions. And she seemed incredibly annoyed that I had called her back out, so I felt terrible about it too.
After I left, I couldn't shake that I was being taken advantage of for being a new patient, especially knowing my own dental history and having gotten checked only a bit over half a year prior. (Hey, if it had been a few years I'd totally understand. Even the "few" we talked about I thought might've been true. But six???)
Ultimately, it's entirely possible I had this many issues. However, we should've gone through every single tooth (without me asking to), why EACH tooth was a suspected problem, discussed whether or not all of them were immediately necessary, etc, and it would've made me feel a lot better about the experience.
Patient-doctor trust is the most important thing, and I left shocked, in pain (from the dumb X-rays), and suspicious. I won't be coming back. There are a billion dentists in the area, and it's not worth the risk.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2 - Ryan C.Seattle, WA03Jul 1, 2023Updated review
I've been a patient here for almost a decade. The staff is amazing. The dentists are outstanding. Highly recommended. I got Invisalign and a few other procedures done here over the years and have had nothing but great experiences. Mostly it's just my 6 month cleanings and the dentist says I look good-to-go. Whenever I need to come in, they get me in right away. Best dentist in Kirkland in my opinion.

Jul 14, 2015Previous reviewThis is an outstanding office with wonderful staff. Dr. Everett provided exceptional care and made sure I was comfortable and well informed on the procedure. I really appreciated him taking the time to answer all of my concerns. Jen was assisting Dr. Everett and was very sympathetic to my needs. I was a bit nervous about it all, but between Jen and Dr. Everett I felt calm. This was the best office I have been to and I don't like to review, but people need to know how great this office is.

Kirkland Family Dentistry has been my go to dentist for many years now. They make me feel so great about being a patient that I continue to go to them, even after I've moved to California. I've had various procedures over the years, including your typical 6-month cleanings, bonding, teeth whitening to most recently, veneers for my front teeth (completed by the amazing Dr. Choi!).
The idea of going to the dentist can be an extremely stressful situation, but the entire team is so caring and patient, and it makes such a big difference.
Thank you to Dr. Everett, Dr. Choi and the entire team at the office. You all work wonders and words can't describe how much I appreciate you!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Jan 8, 2016Previous reviewRecently moved to Seattle and needed to find a dentist. I've gone to the same dentist for many years, so it was a bit intimidating/overwhelming to figure out which dentist could pick up where my last dentist left off. After multiple searches, I landed on Kirkland Family Dentistry. Read the many reviews and this place seemed like a great option.
After my appointment yesterday, I'm confident that I have found a great dentist office that can do a great job with my teeth. My dentist was Dr. Jonathan Everett, and he was fantastic! Did great job with reviewing the current status of my teeth, and broke down all x-rays in a way that made sense. Dr. Everett also repaired a damaged front tooth that I had, and you can't tell there was ever even an issue! I'm beyond satisfied with the work performed.
Carli was the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth, and not only was she one of the sweetest individuals I've ever met, but she was gentle with the cleaning.
All in all, I would absolutely recommend Kirkland Family Dentistry to anyone new to the city, or looking for a dentist who can provide great service. I would advise asking for Dr. Everett if he is available as well! - Taufique N.Federal Way, WA02Nov 16, 2022
I've been with Kirkland Family Dentistry for more than 5 years and their practice and management have gone downhill faster than I can comprehend. I got my implant crown done at this place with the most unpleasant experience I've ever had.
It started about a year ago when they took my impression which was supposed to be checked by the "Doctor" at the end but Dental Assistant did the whole procedure. The doctor didn't even show up to check on it. The dental assistant was very rough and quick. The implant screw came off a couple of hours after the procedure leaving me with an infection.
Going forward, they kept calling to set up an appointment for the crown placement but given my last experience, I was a little hesitant. I knew that if I didn't go back, they wouldn't get paid for the treatment since they can't charge the patient until the entire procedure is completed. I could easily go back to my Perio Doctor to get it done from scratch but I wanted to give this place a second chance.
My wife called and set up an appointment with Dr. Everett specifically but I saw the same Doctor as before. I am okay with any doctor as long as they are checking up on the patient as they are supposed to. That's not the worse part, on my chart, it said "(my wife's name) husband, probably won't be coming back. NOT NICE". During the checkout, I mentioned this to the front desk rep and she was speechless.
To Owner: I know you are reading this. You are safe to deactivate my profile from your system since I am not coming back. And since I am "NOT NICE", I'll make sure to share my experience on as many platforms as possible.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 1 - Iman B.Seattle, WA21815676May 11, 2022
Such a disappointment for me visiting here.
They just care about running out your insurance and set you for back to back visits.
The doctor saw xrays and told me to fill/refill 11 of your teeth!! he just said it is needed and didn't ask about my opinion or if I want to do them or consult the plan with me, he was so busy that it took him less than 5 mins to diagnose.
They set me for three visits. the doctor only drills the teeth and let the assistants do the rest of the job!!! the job that the doctor is supposed to do!!!!! the doctor spends his time with other patients. It is ridiculous.
they filled 7 of my teeth and it was by far my worst filling experience. Isn't filling something basic and routine in dentistry?
For 4 months I was not comfortable chewing with my left side that I had to go to another doctor to fix a bit of the issue. I could not refill them again with the new doctor as my insurance wouldn't pay for it!!!!!
Don't go here if you like yourself!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2Business owner information

I first came to Kirkland Family Dentistry after losing two fillings in the course of a week. Even as a new patient, they were able to get me in immediately. The office was clean and high-tech -- probably the most high-tech dentistry I've experienced. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very efficient. I have since returned for basic maintenance cleanings and crowns and have been very pleased with their work. I highly recommend this business.
